My husband is Irish and we like to really go crazy celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, I mean come on- any day that you can get away with having green on your teeth without people looking twice at you, that’s cause for celebration in itself!
I had a lot of fun making some Irish food and green desserts over the last few days and I had to work hard to keep little fingers out of the desserts before the pictures were taken. As soon as I was done they were GONE!
I made my first Irish dish using my beautiful Le Creuset French Oven. See the bottom of this post so you can enter to win one for yourself!! My Guinness Corned Beef and Cabbage is a classic dish with the Irish Stout to make the broth richer. Corned beef is quite salty so I pull out most of the braising liquid and finish it off in the oven with a brown sugar crust and cloves, delicious!!

These cute little Beef and Guinness Shamrock Bites are easy and really yummy, set put a tray of these and they’ll disappear this St. Paddy’s Day!
I am IN LOVE WITH my Butter Mint Chocolate Push Pops…I put them in a foam brick and covered it with moss to almost make them look like little trees in a forest…a fun way to have green on this special day! The light a buttery butter mint filling is the perfect compliment to the moist, rich brownies inside the pops…YUM, YUM, YUM…watch out, these are DANGEROUS!
I set up these Green Velvet Cake Pops in a cauldron we had for Halloween, put foam in the center and arranged the cake pops, so filler then the coins that I found at Party City- really simple and SO festive! The cake pops are decorated with green edible glitter, mini shamrocks and green sprinkles…
A great way to have green but not go too crazy with the green food coloring is to use pistachios! My Pistachio Cream-Filled Whoopie Pies are really cute and a flash-back to my childhood.

I would love to win the 2 and 1/4 quart cast iron/enamel sauceier. I have had most of my Le Creuset cookware for more than 35 years. This paticular saucepot is the only piece that is finally showing wear. The enamel inside is quite worn. If I could get it re-enameled, I would. I rarely cook with anything other than Le Creuset. Any color is OK – my pieces are all different colors. I also have a 1 quart saucepan which is fine but the handle on the lid has cracked. I can’t find a replacement anywhere for this pot, unfortunately.

I would love to have the 5-quart Oval French Oven in any color. The color really does not matter to me. I was once told “the uglier it looks, the better it cooks”. Since then color really makes no difference to me. I love my Le Creuset piece even more since I recently thought I burnt the bottom of my $500.00 pot. After letting it soak overnight in soapy water I was able to easily scrub it clean and it is as good as new. I think they are indestructible now. Love it! Thanks for the chance to win one.

It would have to be the 12″ NONSTICK STIR-FRY PAN (only available in black). Now that we’re FINALLY empty-nesters, we’d like to try out some new recipes that the kids wouldn’t have liked and some of them (the recipes, not the kids) would work best in a stir-fry pan. Believe it or not, I have always wanted a red, 5-qt, oval french oven!

It’s hard to tell which size pot would be most useful. Something to slow-cook meals, but not too heavy to lug around. Maybe the 5-quart oval french oven? I love the oval shape. My first exposure to Le Creuset was being served farm-fresh roasted vegetables in one of their roasting pans … it must be so nice to have one of these!
The yellow (“quince”) is delightful, but so is “Ocean” … and the ivory (“Dune”) would go with any color scheme.

Oh they are all so wonderful, but I would love the 5 1/2 quart round French oven in Soleil (that glorious lemon yellow)!
Oh! what a delight it would be to win this beautiful piece of cookware. To think how many receipes I could prepare with one piece of cookware. I’m still in the back ages when it comes to cookware. 14 pieces of cookware, half of which never is used because they are “speciality pieces, which are used for special dishes.” Who has time for that? My hope and wish for today is to win this lovely piece in Cherry.

I love the red pie bird. I had never seen, nor heard of using these when baking pies. It is so cute – but I don’t have any idea how to use it! Do instructions come with it?
I also loved that it came a a bunch of different colors – I would have a hard time picking out just one color – I loved the red, but also the blue, and the yellow!

Purchased my first piece of Le Creuset which is a large oval platter that can be used in the oven. It is also perfect for forming two batches of peanut butter fudge. I have been using LECREUSET Dutch Ovens for 10 years. I have never had a better Dutch Ovn in my 50+ years of cooking! Recently, we had an accident in our kitchen and my red 5 quart French Oven.
