Smoked Salmon Rounds

  • Smoked Salmon Rounds


    • 8 thin slices rye bread
    • 6 Tablespoons softened cream cheese
    • 4 ounces thinly sliced smoked salmon
    • 1/2 medium red onion, very thinly sliced
    • 1 teaspoon drained capers, rinsed and patted dry
    • Freshly ground pepper
    • 1 lemon, cut into wedges


    1. Toast bread lightly in toaster or oven. Cut toasted bread into rounds with cookie cutter. Choose a cookie cutter that will give you 2 rounds per slice of bread.
    2. Spread cream cheese on each toast. Place salmon first, then onions, and capers on toasts; season with pepper. Squeeze lemon juice on top.
