Roasted Figs with Creme Fraiche and Honey


  • 1 pints fresh Black Mission figs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • dash kosher salt
  • 4 ounces crème fraîche
  • ¼ cup honey


  1. Cut the figs in half lengthwise.
  2. Brush the cut surfaces of the figs with oil.
  3. Place the figs cut-side down in hot pan with canola oil and sugar. Stir gently to coat with the butter and sugar. Cook for about 2 minutes. Add salt.
  4. Place figs a platter i a round circle area, spooning crème fraîche in the center. Drizzle with honey and serve.
