Mummy Chicken Tenders The Hopeless Housewife

How cute are these things??? I have seen the mummy hotdogs everywhere  but never wanted to make them because I don’t love to give my daughter hotdogs…so we jumped in the test kitchen and came up with these adorable little frights.  Who doesn’t love a good chicken tender?? Then add some buttery crescent dough and OMG. Believe me, you won’t be able to keep these Mummy Chicken Tender Wraps on the tray at any Halloween gathering.

This is part of my Haunted Mansion Graveyard Party Table that was recently featured on Hostess with the Mostess!

Yield: 10-12 chicken wraps

Mummy Chicken Tender Wraps

  • 1 lb chicken tenders (these come boneless and skinless)
  • 1 pkg refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Salt and pepper
  • black olives, chopped into small black "eye" sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese (to stick eyes on with)

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Heat grill to medium high, season the chicken with salt and pepper, and grill the chicken until cooked.
  3. Roll out the crescent dough, and cut into strips. Individually wrap the strips of crescent dough around each of the chicken tenders, being sure to leave room towards the top for the eyes.
  4. Bake at 350° for 7-10 minutes Or until the dough is golden brown. Let cool for a minute then add a small dollop of cream cheese to the backside of each olive eye piece, then stick on the chicken tender where you left the opening for the eyes.

Serve with ranch and honey mustard dressing.
