Bloody Maria Cocktail

This is Chef Ninamarie’s famous Bloody Maria cocktail. A refreshing citrus spin of the traditional bloody mary, and perfect for Halloween!

Yield: Makes 2 cocktails

Bloody Maria Cocktail


  • 3 blood oranges ( or valencia if not in season)
  • 1 cup fresh basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco (or more if you like it spicy!)
  • 2 ounces vodka


  1. Muddle basil and juice in small pitcher. Let sit for 30 minutes (this can be sped up if you continue to muddle for a few minutes)
  2. Add orange mixture and Tabasco to an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
  3. Strain into chilled martini glasses and serve!
