World Series Grub!!

The best of this year’s Boys of Summer are getting ready to hit the field for the Fall Classic, and that means you should be ready with some great ballpark food, no matter which team you are rooting for! The Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants have both won the pennants for their divisions and we came up with great ways to celebrate both cities’ signature dishes, along with some regular ballpark fare.

We first want to honor of the reigning World Series Champs (2011), so we came up with a fun way to turn the city’s signature food  into fun ballpark treats.  These St. Louis Style Toasted Ravioli Lollipops will be sure to put a smile on every fan’s face! We are serving these with spicy heirloom marinara and pesto dipping sauces.

Now on to this year’s World Series teams, the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants!

If you are rooting for San Francisco, these cute Mini Sourdough Bowls with Clam Chowder  will help you get into the “City by the Bay” spirit! They are small enough to be appetizers and you simply use sourdough dinner rolls- they are so easy, you can whip up a tray of them for your hungry home team!

Detroit is known for their Coney Dogs, not just in the ballpark but all over the city. The Coney Dog is truly the signature food of  the motor city–  in fact, it’s the equivalent to a cheesesteak in Philadelphia. What makes this hot dog a true Coney Dog? Well, for starters it’s the natural casing on the hotdog which makes for a nice little snap when you bite into it. The juicy and plump dog is topped with a beanless chili, then mustard. Chopped onions sit atop this masterpiece, and as any Tiger fan will tell you, don’t skimp on the onions (unless you have a date afterwards)! Our Coney Dog recipe is pretty authentic, if you are from Michigan and have a different opinion, please let me know!

To round out your World Series food options, you’ve got to have fries! I drool when I see these at the ballpark, so I just had to include them. Our Trio Of Ballpark Fries is a combination of three great spuds and dipping sauces.  Red Pepper Parmesan Fries with a Garlic Aioli (center), Garlic Fries with a Dynamite Sriracha Mayo (left), and Sea Salt Fries with Ketchup (right). Wrap them in craft paper and put them in a cup for a little extra touch. These are so simple, you will always want to make your own friees after trying these!

Our Chicken Parmesan Grilled Homerun Hoagie is so gooey and cheesy, with a delicious tangy sauce and basil.

We are finishing up with dessert. You just have to have Cracker Jacks at a World Series gathering, so why not make your own a take it up a notch? Our White Chocolate Candied Macadamia Nuts Cracker Jacks are a delicious and gourmet twist on the ballpark classic.
